The holiday season brought an extra sparkle to the Joe Patton Academy Extension Program last year with the much-anticipated Leadership Legion Holiday Badges Giveaway! The air was electric with excitement as campers, parents, and volunteers gathered, all buzzing about which coveted badges they hoped to earn or take home. It wasn't just about the physical badges; it was about celebrating the leadership skills our kids developed throughout the year—communication, collaboration, and confidence building were the real prizes. The event perfectly blended fitness challenges with festive fun, reminding everyone that leadership is an active pursuit, whether on the sports field or during a holiday scavenger hunt. A huge shoutout to the organizers for fostering such an inclusive and joyful environment where every child feels seen and empowered!

One of our favorite moments from the JPAC holiday bash was seeing the kids proudly display their 'Teamwork Titan' and 'Communication Champion' badges from the Leadership Legion program. The fitness stations were a hit, especially the 'Reindeer Dash' obstacle course, which incorporated elements of agility and group problem-solving. Laughter and cheering filled the space, and it was a powerful reminder of the incredible work Special Needs Network does to create a safe, integrated, and dynamic environment for all children. The badge giveaway was more than a simple event; it was a testament to the community's spirit and the belief in the limitless potential of every child. Can't wait to see what exciting activities they have planned for this year.

Leadership Legion is a business franchise that focused on teaching and training, and now building children with special needs, autism, and developmental disabilities how to be leaders and followers within inclusive communities. We are so thrilled to have Leadership Legion at Camp Joe Patton Academy (Camp JPAC) to train kids with children and youth with special needs, autism, and other other developmental disabilities to learn leadership skills, and how to be a leader! We are looking forward to have a new leadership training skills, along with new 3rd graders to come aboard, along with new kids in 4th, 5th, & 6th grade as well. We also looking forward to nurturing leadership skills in our youngest learners for kindergarten to 2nd grade, and even opening our band new healthcare.
